Fourteen from Snoqualmie’s DMW Martial Arts earn black belts

This month, the community became 14 times safer. On Friday, Nov. 11, fourteen students at DMW Martial Arts in Snoqualmie passed their test for their black belts. Most have been training for more than five years, enduring six months of extremely rigorous training which culminated in a grand celebration.

On Friday, Nov. 11, fourteen students at DMW Martial Arts in Snoqualmie passed their test for their black belts. Most have been training for more than five years, enduring six months of extremely rigorous training which culminated in a grand celebration.

“Earning the rank of Black Belt is probably one of the hardest things they’ve ever done. What it represents is the ability to overcome and believe that through persistence and hard work you can no doubt achieve great things,” said Dan Cartan, chief instructor at the school.
