The Cascade Reign AAU basketball team, sponsored by Si View Metro Parks, won the fifth grade division of the WTA Spring Fling Tournament the weekend of April 24 at Tyee High School in Sea-Tac.

The local girls defeated Mercer Island, 20-19 in the championship finale after Scout Turner banked in a 12-foot jumper with under a minute to play, giving the Reign the lead for good and securing the victory. Along with the championship victory over Mercer Island, the Reign also notched victories over teams from Bothell/Woodinville and Bonney Lake.

The team is made up with girls from Snoqualmie, Fall City and North Bend.
