Children of the Ridge

Mike's Cascade Grill on the Snoqualmie Ridge is hosting a reception for local artist Richard Burhans at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4. The reception marks the exhibition of 10 original paintings and five original pen-and-ink drawings done by Burhans that were used in the Weyerhaeuser newsletter put out in the early years of the Ridge from 1999 to about 2001. During that time, Burhans did pen-and-ink drawings of Snoqualmie Ridge children at various community events such as the "Pumpkin Parade" and an Independence Day celebration. Mike's Cascade Grill is located at 7727 Center Blvd.
