Drs. Greg and Sabra Fawcett of Fall City Family Dental Clinic welcomed Dr. Melissa Marr to their clinic this fall as an associate dentist.

“We are thrilled to welcome Melissa to our practice,” Greg Fawcett said. “She has wonderful credentials, having graduated at the top of her dental class with many prestigious awards. Melissa was in honors endodontics, she was awarded the Periodontics Outstanding Senior Award and she also received the award for Best Esthetic Crown.”

Marr is a 2006 honors graduate of Oregon Health Sciences School of Dentistry with an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Oregon, from where she also graduated with honors. Marr worked in the chemistry department on cancer research, and was an instructor for the organic chemistry laboratory. Marr also did volunteer work at a Portland public health clinic for HIV patients. Other professional experiences include public health dentistry with a focus on emergency care and children’s dentistry, as well as the “Give Kids A Smile” program and the “Celebration of Smiles” program.

Her professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Delta Sigma Delta National Dental Honors Fraternity and the Academy of General Dentistry.

“We have looked a long time to find someone of her caliber to join our office,” Sabra Fawcett said. “We are already getting rave reviews about her from our patients.”

Marr said she loves dentistry and interacting with patients of all ages. She describes herself as a motivated, energetic and personable individual who enjoys new challenges. After graduating in June, Marr moved to Washington with a goal of working in a dental practice in a rural community. She immediately fell in love with the Snoqualmie Valley and looks forward to getting to know her patients and becoming involved in the community in upcoming months.

In her spare time, Marr enjoys good food and friends, playing with her Weimaraner puppy, hiking and backpacking, growing orchids and playing piano.

Marr sees patients on Tuesdays and Saturdays and hopes to soon add evening hours to offer more convenient appointment times for busy, working families.
