Learn about banned books week at Valley libraries

Libraries in Fall City, North Bend and Snoqualmie celebrate the freedom to read and the importance of the First Amendment during Banned Books Week, September 24 to October 1. Patrons might be surprised by the titles that have been challenged, restricted and removed from library shelves. Banned books include Twilight, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, The Hunger Games, Water for Elephants, Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, The Catcher in the Rye, Snow Falling on Cedars, the Bible, and the Koran.
