• Twenty-six students of North Bend High School, members of the Class of 1934, will receive their diplomas at the commencement exercises to be held on the high school lawn at 10:30 o’clock, Wednesday, May 30. This is a new departure and pioneers of the Valley are especially invited. As it will be impossible to find chairs for the large crowd expected to attend, those who wish to sit on the grass are asked to take auto robes with them.

• A number of new teachers will greet students at North Bend schools when classes resume in the fall. John R. Kerr has been elected to the English position in the high school to succeed Miss Nelson, while Felix King will take Kerr’s position at the seventh grade and will also teach manual training. Ms. Vera Regan, of Warden, will take Mrs. Eccles’ work in the fifth grade.
