The eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 at milepost 34 near North Bend have been closed for most of the day, Tuesday, Jan. 12, while crews worked to clear a crash involving a tanker-trailer at around 7 a.m.
No one was injured in the crash, but the tanks, carrying about 20,000 gallons of fuel, were ruptured. An update from the Washington Department of Transportation at 3 p.m. reported that workers were having difficulty pumping the fuel from the trailer, and the road was projected to re-open no sooner than 7 p.m.
