The Salish Lodge & Spa has attracted a lot of interest from potential buyers. Two noted groups were among those making bids on the historic lodge, which sits near the top of Snoqualmie Falls: The Snoqualmie Tribe and Seattle-based Coastal Hotel Group, which has managed the lodge for the past nine years.

Sam Johnson, Salish manager, said there had been a lot of interest from potential buyers but that he and hotel staff don’t know how many bids had been entered. The deadline for the first round was Tuesday, July 31, at 3 p.m., Johnson said.

Gateway Cascades, a holding company for the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA), owns the hotel, spa, restaurants and gift shops. In June, the company announced the sale of the Salish Lodge & Spa. Kristina Paider of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, the company handling the sale on LACERA’s behalf, confirmed only that the Salish was for sale and her company had been hired to market the property.
