There’s no better vista on Fall City than the annual Fall City Days Fun Run, a foot race for all ages starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 18.
Runners can choose from a five-kilometer (3.1 miles) course, the full 10K (6.2 miles), and a children’s 1K fun run. More than 500 runners are expected to take part.
The flat, fast course starts and ends at Farmhouse Market, runs out of Fall City and back, passing classic Valley scenery. Runners will see the Fall City bridge, downtown, local farms and the Snoqualmie River.
This is the first year that the event has been organized by local racer Sean Sundwall’s group Run Snoqualmie, which puts on other events in the Upper Valley.
The race is a benefit for Chief Kanim Middle School students.
Run Snoqualmie exists to make running a more prominent part of the Snoqualmie Valley through race events that build community and contribute financially to local organizations.
The Fall City run offers trophies and ribbons for three categories in dozens of different age groups. An awards ceremony happens at 10:30 a.m.
The cost for the 10K and 5K races is $25 through June 12, $35 on the day of the race. The children’s race is $10 through June 12, $15 on the day of admission.
