Moms club meeting in Valley

The MOMS Club of North Bend, a social group for at-home mothers, meets at 10 a.m. the first Wednesday of every month at the North Bend Library. Children are welcome at all MOMS Club activities. Call (425) 888-1387 or visit www.momsclub.org for more information.

Students helped by supply drive

More than 130 students will go back to school this summer with new backpacks and school supplies, thanks to community donations to a school supply drive conducted this summer by residents working with the Mount Si Lutheran Church, Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church, the Mount Si Helping Hand Food Bank, and other groups.

Organizer Nancy Flanagan said supplies and shoes were distributed at the food bank on the last two Wednesdays in August. Sign-ups to help determine need in the Valley were taken at the food bank last July.

Donations can still be accepted, and will go to next year’s drive.
