The 2nd Annual Ben Jones Memorial Golf Tournament was held
Friday, July 14th under a beautiful blue sky on the greens at Mount Si Golf
Course. 108 avid golfers teed off at a Shot Gun Start at 8 a.m. After 18 holes
everyone enjoyed a burger bar lunch at Adair’s on the Green.
1st place winners were Steve Wagner, Don Clark, Tim Theien
and Paul Baughman.
2nd place went to Mike Schuetze, Brad Bowman, Dave Herman
and Craig Barnhart.
3rd place was Bill Lile, Brent Witte, Adam Lile and Kevin Shaw.
1st and 2nd place winners received engraved crystal bowls while 3rd
place received engraved crystal vases.
The following sponsored holes with a donation of $200 to the
Sno Valley Seniors. The Country Upholster, Carnation; Duvall
Community Bank, Duvall; Community Business Services Inc., Duvall; Custom
Concrete Casting Corp., Carnation; John L Scott, North Bend and Fall
City; C.A. Carey Corp., Issaquah; Snoqualmie Valley Chapel,
North Bend; Wes Childers of Duvall and Mike Grady of Redmond.
The following Hole In One prizes were offered by Huling Brothers;
a Seattle Buick 2000 Buick Century, two years of Smart Care Service
and Allen DS9 Golf Clubs, a three year supply of Top Flite Strata Golf
Balls and a four day, three night trip for two to the Eldorado Resort Hotel in
Reno. One winner last year of the golf balls, but no winners this year.
Prizes for the optional raffle were donated by; TPC Snoqualmie
Ridge, a private tour of the Championship course and two rounds of golf;
Mount Si Golf Course and The Classic Golf Club, four rounds of golf each;
Two Rivers Golf Course, High Cedars Golf Club, Snoqualmie Falls,
Carnation, Vicwood Golf Links, Desert Canyon Golf Resort and Tall Chief each
donated two rounds of golf. Putters were donated by Puetz and Dick
Siegert, golf lessons by Leavenworth Golf course and five, Two for One
golf cards by Pat Grant.
Other prizes were donated by Salish Lodge and Spa, Pacific
Trails, Marge Qualls, The Keg Steakhouse and Bar, Albertsons, Costco,
Adair’s on the Green and Suzanne and Syl Lassman.
Nestle’s provided chips, Costco muffins and Talking Rain bottled
water and juice to all participants.
