Slow down Snoqualmie

Two new traffic signals installed earlier this month near the entrance of Snoqualmie Middle School will ask drivers to slow down to 20 mph. The solar-powered signs will be blinking between the hours of 6:30-9:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m. when school traffic is the heaviest. The signals were paid for with a $15,000 grant from the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission that also paid for additional signage in the area and a repainting of traffic lines on State Route 202 near the school's entrance.
Those caught speeding in the school zone will be charged a minimum of $177.
