The future of a world transitioning away from dwindling oil supplies is the topic at the next Community Conversations public discussion.
The discussion, which includes is an introductory session on Snoqualmie Valley’s transition movement, is 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at the North Bend Library, 115 East 4th St. Global warming and ‘peak oil’ will also be discussed.
Peak oil refers to the era when petroleum production enters a terminal decline. The transition movement seeks to rely on local food, sustainable energy sources and resilient local economies.
