Dad-daughter dance registration ending

Families have more time to sign up for the Daddy Daughter Dance, planned for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7 at Si View Community Center. Registration has been extended to Wednesday, June 4. Cost is $18 per couple, with each additional daughter’s attendance $5. Dads need to sign up early as space is limited. Call Si View at (425) 831-1900.

Bike rodeo set for June 14 on Ridge

A family-friendly event meant to help local children stay safe on their bikes is back for its fourth year

The Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo is 11 a.m to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14 at Snoqualmie Ridge’s Community Park and the back lot of Cascade View Elementary School. The event is sponsored by the Tanner Jeans Memorial Foundation and the Snoqualmie Police Department

Snoqualmie’s bike rodeo is designed to promote bike safety throughout the summer months and beyond. Police officers will be conducting free bike helmet safety checks, and, as always, children will be provided with free, replacement helmets if needed.

Free bike safety inspections will be conducted to make sure children’s bicycles are safe for riding.

Kid-friendly activities are planned, including face painting, bouncers and educational exhibits, as well as free food, snacks and beverages. New T-shirts will be given to every participant. In addition, Rattlesnake Lake Cycles in North Bend has donated a brand new bicycle to be raffled.
