With Snoqualmie resident Barbi Donovan recovering from a serious car accident, friends and colleagues wanted a way to help.

That’s why the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation recently established a fund to accept financial donations to help Donovan, the director of medical staff services at the hospital.

On June 27, an oncoming driver on Highway 18 crossed the centerline and struck her car head-on. Donovan will be away from work for several months while she recovers from her injuries.

Foundation director Scott Scowcroft told the Valley Record that Donovan is highly respected by commissioners, managers and her colleagues for the truly terrific work she does.

“Ever since district staff learned of the accident, there has been an outpouring of concern and support,” Scowcroft stated.

Donovan has worked for the hospital since 2005. As an inpatient, recovering at the hospital, “I am much more well known than I was before,” she said.

Donovan said she’s very grateful for the effort that has been made on her behalf.

Donations to the Donovan Fund can be made out to the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation and mailed to: Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation, 9575 Ethan Wade Way S.E., Snoqualmie, WA 98065. Donations may also be dropped off at the hospital, Sterling Savings Bank in North Bend, the Snoqualmie Specialty Clinic, the North Bend Medical Clinic, Fall City Medical Clinic, Snoqualmie Ridge Women’s Health Clinic and the Ridge Medical Clinic.
