Residents of Snoqualmie Ridge have organized two very special events this October at the Snoqualmie Ridge TPC Golf Club to raise support for the Tanner Jeans Memorial Fund.

Tanner Jeans, 7, was killed June 23 in a biking accident outside his family’s Snoqualmie Ridge home. Friends and neighbors started the fund on behalf of the Jeans family in remembrance of this special little boy. All of the money raised will be used to develop “Tanner Park” in the Snoqualmie Ridge neighborhood, as well as a scholarship fund to be awarded in 2015, the year Tanner was to graduate high school.

Headlin-ing the Oct. 10 benefit concert at the Snoqualmie Ridge TPC Golf Club Ballroom will be the band Exit 25, of which Tanner’s father is a member. Aside from listening and dancing to the tunes of this popular local band, the event will also feature a full array of hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and a silent auction. Exit 25 will also auction one live performance for a private party – valued at $2,000.

Tickets to the concert are $40 per person or $75 per couple. Advance purchase is necessary. The reservation deadline is Sept. 24. Sno-Valley Gymnastics Center will offer baby-sitting services from 5:30-10:30 p.m. for children ages 5 and up. Rates are $10 for the first child and $5 for each sibling – for the entire evening.
