With help from Harley Burmbaugh and the Cascade Jazz Ensemble, Valley Center Stage is presenting a musical tribute to the region.

“Snoqualmie Valley Past and Present: A Musical Journey” is 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Valley Center Stage, 119 1/2 North Bend Way. Advance tickets may be purchased for $12.50 at www.valleycenterstage.org

Long-time Valley musical artist Brumbaugh and the Cascade Jazz Ensemble are teaming up to present a very special evening of music, visuals and songs celebrating the history and beauty of the Snoqualmie Valley. The interactive show features sing-a-longs, jazz and a multi-media tribute. It is a one-time event celebrating North Bend’s 100th anniversary.

“Snoqualmie Valley Past and Present” will feature poetry, stories and music from Brumbaugh’s career as an area bandleader over the past 60 years. He will be featured with the Cascade Jazz Ensemble on many famous jazz and dance pieces that were created or influential in the Valley’s history.

The Cascade Jazz Ensemble will also perform “The Snoqualmie Suite” — original music, visuals and dance that brings the mountains, streams and atmosphere of the Valley to life.
