Nominate the best Valley teachers for Snoqualmie Foundation honors

The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation is preparing to honor outstanding educators, and is seeking nominations now through Friday, Jan. 31. Educator of the Year is an annual recognition given by the foundation to Snoqualmie Valley staff, and presented at the annual Small Hands to Big Plans fundraising luncheon, set this year for March 20.

The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation is preparing to honor outstanding educators, and is seeking nominations now through Friday, Jan. 31.  Educator of the Year is an annual recognition given by the foundation to Snoqualmie Valley staff, and presented at the annual Small Hands to Big Plans fundraising luncheon, set this year for March 20.

Staff eligible for the awards are teachers and classified staff who have worked for the district at least three years. The selection criteria seeks those who: inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn; have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues; and lead by example. Awards will be presented to one elementary teacher, one middle school teacher, one high school teacher and one classified staff member.  Nomination forms are on the foundation website at www.svsfoundation.org/todays-funding-needs/educator-of-the-year.

Send nominations to SVSF, Attn: EoY Committee, P.O. Box 724, Fall City WA98024. All nomination materials must be postmarked by Jan. 31.

An independent selection committee of community leaders will review the nominations. Winners will be notified by the first week of March, and honored March 20.
