Fourteen young finalists put on a show at the 2011 Sno Valley Idol Junior competition finals. A panel of three music industry professionals, Annmarie Farris, Susanna Fuller and Danny Kolke, had the difficult task of scoring contestants on natural ability, quality of performance, showmanship and audience appeal, narrowing down the field to the top three finalists before the final audience vote.
First place winner Anastasia Kilian, 10, sings, plays the flute and the piano, and also enjoys playing soccer. She won the contest with an outstanding performance of Taylor Swift’s “The Best Day.”
The 2011 Runner Up is Annie Bruckner, a seventh grader from Twin Falls Middle School who wowed the crowd with the song “Dream a Little Dream of Me” by the Mamas and the Papas.
The third place winner is Tori Rose, a fifth grader from Snoqualmie Elementary with her interpretation of “Ben” by Michael Jackson.
Sno Valley Idol Junior competition is one of many community event organized by Si View Metro Parks with help from volunteers. A volunteer team of Michael Csendes, Annmarie Farris, Susanna Fuller, Danny Kolke, Wanda Boe and Jeff Warren help make the event possible.
