Saturday, June 28

Snacks in progress: At 5:26 p.m., police got a 911 hangup in the 200 block of West North Bend Way, North Bend. When they called back, they spoke to a store employee who said a young woman, 17 or 18 with pink hair and dressed in black, was in the store, opening items for sale and eating them. The employee said he’d asked her to stop, but she ignored him. Police found the woman sitting on a bench outside the store, and detained her.

Fireworks: At 7:29 p.m., a caller in the Southeast Augusta Place, Snoqualmie,  called police, very upset about large, loud fireworks being set off in the 35000 block of Augusta Place, and at Southeast Muir Street and Fairway Avenue Southeast. She told police she would handle it herself if she didn’t see a police response. Police contacted a group of children and warned them not to set off the fireworks.

Monday, June 30

More fireworks: At 9:39 p.m., police investigated fireworks being set off in the area of Southeast Pratt Street and Fairway Avenue Southeast, Snoqualmie. They also investigated a black pickup truck reportedly associated with the fireworks. The truck was parked on the wrong side of Autumn Avenue, and police confiscated the illegal fireworks in the truck.

Power scam: At 5:30 p.m., a caller in the 200 block of Bendigo Boulevard North, North Bend, called police about a suspicious phone call. She said the caller claimed to be from Puget Sound Energy, and threatened to cut off her power if she didn’t give them $800. She didn’t give the caller any money, but called PSE directly and they told her it was a scam. They advised her to call the police.

Remains: At 10:03 p.m., a caller doing surveying work in the South Fork Avenue Southwest and Bendigo Boulevard area, North Bend, found some remains in a nearby wooded area, and contacted police, concerned they might be human remains. Police investigated the site and determined the bones were from a small deer.

Noise: At 6:50 a.m., a caller in the 9400 block of Satterlee Avenue Southeast, Snoqualmie, complained to police that for the past several mornings, someone had been firing up a chain saw and logging at 5:30 a.m. Police checked the area and found that loggers were clearing some state-owned land.

Thursday, July 3

Suspcious peddler: At 4:09 p.m., a caller in the 7100 block of Allman Avenue Southeast, Snoqualmie, reported that a suspicious man was going door to door, offering to come inside homes and clean carpets. The man offered no business information and did not seem to have a vehicle or any equipment with him. The caller believed he was casing houses for possible burglaries. Police contacted the man and warned him to get a business license.

Sleeping it off: At 8:01 p.m., an officer patrolling the 9100 block of Meadowbrook Way, Snoqualmie, saw a car on the side of the road, with the driver slumped over the wheel, and no keys in the ignition. The man said he’d been golfing, and after driving a short distance, decided he was too drunk to drive, so he pulled over. Police told the man to call for a ride, and waited with him until the ride arrived.

Stealing gas: At 8:32 p.m. police were called to the 34000 block of Southeast Linden Loop, Snoqualmie, where a caller said he’d seen a man stealing gas from vehicles in the neighborhood 10 minutes earlier. The caller said the man was on foot, 40 to 50 years old and carrying a red gas can. He’d seen the man steal gas from his son’s vehicle and then go to his neighbor’s house. Police responded but did not find the subject, believing he left in a vehicle, with an unknown amount of gas.

Friday, July 4

Streaking?: At 9:13 p.m., a caller in the 400 block of East Third Street reported that a blonde woman in her 50s had undressed at the school playground, and was running down Third Street wearing only her underwear. She was also spotted behind the QFC, then eastbound on North Bend Way, then running up Orchard Street toward the Si View Community Park.

Fireworks calls: Police received 25 complaints about fireworks in Snoqualmie, and 14 in North Bend.

Attempted theft: At 8:06 p.m., a caller in the 31900 block of East Myrtle Street reported that someone had tried to take a package from the caller’s front porch.

Trespass: At 10 a.m., a business in the 31700 block of West Eugene Street called police to remove a man who’d stolen a paper cup of coffee from the store.

Monday, June 30

Neighbors: At 11:27 p.m., a caller in the 33400 block of Northeast 42nd Street contacted police about a problem speeder in the neighborhood. The caller said he and several other neighbors had talked to the man about the speed limit, 25 mph, saying he exceeds it by 10 to 15 mph when he drives through. The man argues, then walks away.

Stolen rack: At 3:45 p.m., a business in the 31800 block of West Commercial Street reported that someone had stolen a black wire display rack from the back porch.

Monday, July 1

False alarm: At 1:37 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to Cascade View Elementary for an automatic fire alarm. The crew was cancelled en route by the alarm company working on the system.

Steam alarm: At 7:28 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to the Salish Lodge for an automatic fire alarm.   Firefighters found the alarm had been set off by steam from the spa area. The alarm was  reset.

Illegal fire: At 9:31 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to Schusman Avenue Southeast for a report of an illegal burn. Engine 281 and its crew arrived to find a homeowner with a campfire in her backyard.  She was advised of  the regulations regarding burning within the city limits.

Alarm: At 11:07 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to Snoqualmie Ridge Storage for an automatic fire  alarm in building B. They arrived to find alarm sounding but no problem was found. The alarm  was reset.

Medical calls: In addition, Snoqualmie firefighters responded to six medical aid calls, bringing their total 2014 annual call number to 532.

Thursday, June 26

Pain: At 5:14 am Fall City Firefighter/EMTs responded to the 33100 block of Southeast 42nd Street for an 88-year-old man with abdominal pain. He was evaluated, treated and taken to a local hospital by Fall City’s aid car.

Fall: At 5:24 a.m., Fall City Firefighter/EMTs responded to the 4400 block of 332nd Avenue for a fall patient, who was evaluated, treated and left at home.

Choking: At 7:02 a.m., Fall City Firefighter/EMTs responded to the 4300 block of 316th Avenue Southeast for a 96-year-old woman who was choking. She was evaluated, treated and taken to a local hospital by private ambulance.

Friday, June 27

Heart problem: At 2:49 a.m., Fall City Firefighter/EMTs responded to the 34800 block of Southeast 44th Place for an 83-year-old woman in cardiac arrest.  Bellevue Paramedics and Eastside Fire and Rescue assisted in treating her. She was taken to a local hospital by the paramedics.

Saturday, June 28

Pain: At 10:06 p.m., Fall City Firefighter/EMTs responded to the 35700 block of Southeast 47th Place for a 73-year-old woman with abdominal pain. She was evaluated, treated and taken to a local hospital by private ambulance.

Possible overdose: At 8:57 a.m., Fall City Firefighter/EMTs responded to the 32400 block of Northeast 50th Street for a person in their 40s who was said to have overdosed.  The patient was treated by Bellevue Paramedics and taken to a local hospital.

Stroke: At 1:04 a.m., Fall City Firefighter/EMTs responded to the 37500 block of North Bend Way for reports of a 74-year-old women experiencing a stroke.  Firefighters treated, evaluated and rapidly transported the patient to a nearby hospital.

Wednesday, July 2

Motorcycle accident: At 6:53 a.m., Fall City Firefighter/EMTs responded to the 37600 block of Fall City-Snoqualmie Road for a motorcycle accident. One patient was treated and taken to a local hospital by Snoqualmie’s aid car.

Seizure: At 8:08 a.m., Fall City Firefighter/EMTs responded to the 4500 block of 286th Avenue Southeast for a 62-year-old woman experiencing a seizure. She was evaluated, treated and taken to a nearby hospital by Fall City’s aid car.
