Chief Kanim girls down Ravens

The Chief Kanim Middle School seventh and eighth grade girls varsity basketball teams traveled to Twin Falls Tuesday, Dec. 7, where both teams earned victories. Coach Chris Blake told the Valley Record that every girl contributed and worked extremely hard. Eighth grade standouts include Mackenzie Popp and Tiana Blakey with six points apiece, Malissa Aumium, Kayla Steilen and Eleni Trull with four points, Reannah Klassen, Angelina Belcito and Julie Foster with two points and Sara Brevik with one point.

Seventh grade stars included Alex Korolenko with 12 points, Anna Butoryak with nine points, Annie Hiebert, Courtney Deveny and Caitlin Maralack with six points, Brooke Covello with five blocks and six steals, and Brittley Gaan with four points. Katie Kieffer and Kaja Englund demonstrated excellent defense.
