For Duvall’s 100th anniversary, the city is hosting the Sno River Rock Concert and Lighter Than Air Fair 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at McCormick Park.

The concert celebrates not only 100 years of Duvall history, but the Sky River Rock Festival and Lighter than Air Fair, an all-day rock concert in a Sultan pasture on Aug. 30, 1968, a year before the famous Woodstock.

Highlights of the modern event will include a vintage motorcycle and scooter show, live rock and roll all day, vendors, interview opportunities for the upcoming Duvall centennial film, hot air balloon rides, and Duvall’s iconic Piano Drop.

Music begins at 11 a.m. with Okey Dokey, followed by the Jack Ballard Band at 12:15 p.m., Paradox at 1:30 p.m., and Alice Stuart and the Formerlys at 2:45 p.m. Stuart will perform a guitar solo for the intermission, and the Rent Collectors will start up the show again at 4 p.m. Finishing out the day will be the Maltby Crew at 5:30 p.m., Lunatic Fringe at 6:45 p.m., and Jr Cadillac at 8 p.m.

Take a ride on a hot air balloon at the park from 6 to 9 p.m., and plan to stay until 7:45, when a colorful spinnet piano gets dropped from a crane.
