Bleha honored for test effort

North Bend student Samantha Bleha was recently honored at a statewide awards ceremony for gifted children, hosted by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth.

North Bend student Samantha Bleha was recently honored at a statewide awards ceremony for gifted children, hosted by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth. Bleha was honored for her performance on a rigorous above-grade-level test given to second through eighth grade participants in the Talent Search.

Bleha attends Opstad Elementary School. She took the SCAT, a test version scaled for younger students.

The Center for Talented Youth seeks the most academically able elementary and middle school students each year.
