What got them there was a narrow victory over Skyline on Saturday, May 7. Mount Si won the semi-final game 7-6.

The game started with Skyline getting a run on the board during the first inning. Mount Si would score another to tie it up in the third, but Skyline came back to score two more. Mount Si came back to tie up the game in the fourth inning.

The Mount Si team really started to heat up in the sixth inning when the team scored four runs to Skyline’s one. The Wildcat’s weren’t able to stop Skyline from getting two runs in during the seventh inning, but it wasn’t enough for them to tie the game and Mount Si walked away with a 7-6 victory.

Owen Roche was able to get two runs, while Cody Perrine, Mason Marenco, Gavin Gorell Justin Lutz and Matt Dolewski each scored one.

This was Mount Si’s second win in the 2016 KingCo 4A District Baseball Tournament. Their first was on May 6 when they defeated Newport 4-0. Mount Si is now second in the overall 4A standings with 17 wins and five losses.

If the Wildcats win they will be heading for State, if they lose they will against the second seed from the Greater St. Helens League.
