Volleyball team ends regular season on win, falls to Bothell in first round of District tournament

In their last game of the regular season, Mount Si High School’s varsity volleyball girls claimed a win against Newport, in Bellevue.

Mount Si won in four games, 25-22, 25-19, 21-25, and 25-22, to bring their season record to 6 and 8.

Player stats included:

Cameron Kendall, 1 assist, 1 ace, 41 digs;

Courteney Carr, 3 kills, 40 assists, 3 aces, 14 digs, 3.5 blocks;

Karlie Stewart, 1 ace, 1 dig, 0.5 blocks;

Dana Kenow, 1 dig;

Sophie Click, 12 kills, 2 assists, 2 aces, 19 digs;

Lillian Bachand, 3 aces, 6 digs;

Bellah Gogan, 1 kill, 1 dig, 0.5 blocks;

Emma Anderson, 6 kills, 2 digs, 1 block;

Katie McCreadie, 14 kills, 6 digs;

Hayley West, 6 kills, 2.5 blocks;

Katie Larson, 9 digs; and

Sara Kaitlyn Mitchell, 1 kill.

In the Junior Varsity match, the Wildcats also took home the win, in three games, 13-25, 25-22, and 15-12. They end the season with a record of 9 wins, 5 losses.

The varsity team ended its post-season schedule in a 0-3 loss to Bothell at the District 2 tournament, Thursday Nov. 3 at Bothell High School. Game scores were 25-18, 25-16 and 25-17.

Mount Si varsity ended its season with 6 wins, 9 losses.

Their district opponent, Bothell, went on to beat Eastlake 3-2 to advance to the District Championship match, and a chance at a state tournament appearance.
