Cascade Team crayon drive helps Children’s Hospital

For young patients at Seattle’s Children’s Hospital, sometimes the simple things like a coloring book and a few crayons can be as soothing as the trained staff and smiling doctors. Yet, something as simple as crayons often goes overlooked.

For the fifth straight year, The Cascade Team Real Estate is kicking off Project Crayon Drive.

For young patients at Seattle’s Children’s Hospital, sometimes the simple things like a coloring book and a few crayons can be as soothing as the trained staff and smiling doctors. Yet, something as simple as crayons often goes overlooked. Each year Children’s Hospital of Seattle goes through over 240,000 crayons and each child only gets a couple to use.

That’s where The Cascade Team in partnership with Children’s Hospital Guild Association and several area merchants comes in. Throughout the month of April, agents from The Cascade Team will be walking neighborhoods and spreading the word about Project Crayon Drive. Various drop-off locations will be held on weekends throughout the Snoqualmie, North Bend, Issaquah, Sammamish, Bellevue and Kirkland area. Those locations include the IGA at Snoqualmie Ridge on Saturday, April 10 and the North Bend QFC on Sunday, April 11.

During the North Bend QFC drive, North Bend agent Tonya Eliason will be ready to collect lots of crayons from noon to 4 p.m.
