Flag football tourney planned for Saturday

The Rally in the Valley, an adult flag football tournament that the Mount Si Football Boosters sponsor to support Mount Si Wildcats, is on for Saturday, June 7 at Mount Si Stadium. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. Play is all day, with free admission. There is a free pass, punt and kick tournament for kids at 1 p.m.

New activities planned for Ridge basketball tourney

The 2008 edition of the Snoqualmie Ridge 3 on 3 basketball tournament is fast approaching.

Registrations continue to be taken for the event, which this year is being held the weekend of July 19 and 20.

The event, sponsored by Snoqualmie Casino this year, has added a slam dunk contest for kids sponsored by Costco, and the Kids Zone festival area, sponsored by the Church on the Ridge, returns with additional inflatable attractions for children. In addition, food booths will be set up in the park to provide spectators with refreshments throughout the competition.

General registration is on until June 15, then “late” registration will begin and last until July 15; to find out how much it will cost, consult the Web site. As was the case last year, any team with at least one competitor living within Snoqualmie city limits will receive a discount of $15 off their registration fee. All participants will receive a regulation-sized basketball with the tournament logo.

Tennis camp set for August

Eastside tennis pro Vince Gregory has announced dates for his summer camp at Mount Si High School, aimed at high-school age players. Camp is planned for August 18 to 22, between 5 and 7:30 p.m. in the evenings at the school tennis courts. Cost is $120.
