Let me try to make this as simple as possible. “Morals,” in the

Webster’s II New Riverside Dictionary, are defined as, “conduct, especially

sexual conduct, with regards to standards of right or wrong.” My religion says

that homosexuality is wrong. I believe that homosexuality is wrong. Therefore,

in my opinion, homosexuals are not upholding the morals that I have

every right to believe in.

The Boy Scouts of America has been organized and has thrived for

90 years with ideals based on a moral code that agrees with my beliefs

and religion. I do not try to join any gay rights movements or organizations

and try to force them to change their beliefs to match mine. If you don’t

subscribe to the moral beliefs of my religion, don’t join it. However, you

have no rights at all to try to force me, or my religion, to change the moral

standards we have set up.

If you don’t subscribe to the moral beliefs of the Boy Scouts of

America, don’t join it. You may form your own group, and I wish you the best of

luck, but you are infringing on my beliefs and rights when you try to force

your beliefs on me, my religion or the Boy Scouts of America.
