Betty Jane Cox

Betty Jane Cox, of North Bend, passed away on October 17, 2009 at Providence Marianwood in Issaquah. She was 71 years of age. Betty was born on October 23, 1937 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Benjamin and Lydia Heide. She was raised in Ronald, Washington and married Richard Leo Cox on August 9, 1960 in Yakima, Washington. She moved to the Snoqualmie Valley area in the early 1960’s and settled in North Bend. She worked ten years at Vernells Food Production. In 2007 she moved to Providence Marianwood in Issaquah.She took great pride in caring for her home and family. She loved to read, take walks and mostly spend time with her kids, grandkids, sister Ruby and niece Cindy. She was a wonderful kind hearted sister, aunt, mother and grandma. We will always remember her warm heart, cheerful smile and endless laughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1986; son Richard Jr. in 1997. Survivors include daughters Jeanne (Chris) McGregor, of Estacada, Oregon, Barbara Poage, of Cle Elum; sons Robert (Lisa) Cox, of Easton, Norman Poage, of Cle Elum; daughter-in-law Cathy Smith of Snoqualmie; two brothers LeRoy Heide, of Everett, Lee Heide, of Pasco; sister Ruby Heide, of North Bend; niece Cindy Frakes, of North Bend; grandchildren Robert, Heidi, R.J., Ryan, Sarah, Kelsey, Brittanie, Kelsie; great-grandsons, Tyler, Tristan, Jordan, and Thomas.Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Mt. Si. Memorial Cemetery in North Bend.Arrangements are by Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory.
