Each year the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation invites members of the Snoqualmie Valley School District community to nominate outstanding educators who work in district schools.
Four educators, one from each of the following categories, are honored: Kindergarten through 5th grade certificated staff (teacher, counselor, principal, librarian); 6th through 8th grade certificated staff; 9th through 12th grade certificated staff; and classified staff, such as custodians, food services, transportation, maintenance and office staff.
These awards are intended to recognize educators who inspire students to learn; are respected by students, parents and colleagues; lead by example and play an active role in the scholastic environment.
Students, parents, educators or other members of the community are all welcome to make nominations. Nominations will be accepted until Feb. 3, by mail or email only. Find the nomination form online at http://www.svsfoundation.org/Documents/EotY%20nomination%20form%202016-17.pdf.
Winners will be notified by the first week of March, and honored March 23, at the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation’s annual spring luncheon.
