Whitman College in Walla Walla, has announced academic honors for several local students for the fall semester.

Lauren Wilson of Carnation, Maria Kajercline, of North Bend, and James Jacobson, of Snoqualmie have been awarded the honor or academic distinction.

Academic distinction is awarded after the completion of each semester. This recognition is given to all students who have completed a minimum of 12 credits, passed all credits attempted and have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
