The former Bank of America building in Snoqualmie once safeguarded people’s money. Now, the valuables there will be preschool-age children who will attend the Valley’s newest Montessori school when it opens this fall.
The former bank building, located at 38565 S.E. River St. next door to the Snoqualmie post office, has a new future as the Snoqualmie campus of Arbor Schools, a Montessori school based in Sammamish.
Plans call for the school to open for the fall 2007 school year, with an orientation on Tuesday, Sept. 4, and classes starting the following day. Enrollment for the Snoqualmie campus has just begun.
When it opens, the Snoqualmie campus will house one primary classroom for children ages 3-6 years old that will be taught by Jennifer Dell-Aurio. There will also be a toddler classroom for children ages 15 months to 3 years taught by Miawling Cheng. Both teachers are current instructors at Arbor Schools in Sammamish. The Snoqualmie campus will be headed up by program coordinator Bergitta Scott.
The school will offer flexible schedules and all-day kindergarten.
