Born June 6, 1970 in Fairbanks, Alaska she was the first child of Jim and Trudy Buck. She was big sister to Kari (Kraft) all of whom survive. She attended Pacific Lutheran University where she studied business, graduating in 1992. She met her husband, Jeff Peterson, shortly after and they were married in her hometown of Billings in August 1995. They lived most of their married life in Snoqualmie, Washington.

Always the imaginative creator, Jody grew up with a passion for dance – instilling that love in her daughters. She ended her short career in marketing after the birth of Emma, dedicating the remainder of her life to her daughters and husband. Jody loved to entertain and care for others. She was a consummate party planner who was creative beyond measure. She loved Halloween and dressed up every year in the cleverest, mostly homemade, costumes. She loved spending time with her girls, her family and her friends.

Jody loved all things Paris and traveled there with girlfriends and, most recently, with her husband Jeff and her dad, Jim (and wife Sharon) – a lifelong dream.

In the end it was those she loved most who devoted their days to her care. Her humor, optimism and huge heart won her many friends throughout her years as well as the hearts of her in-laws, Jack and Sharon Peterson. Jody Marie Buck Peterson left us too soon. The impact of her life, her luminous smile and her bright sense of humor will be treasured.

Jody is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jeff, her daughters, Emma and Lucy, her parents, Trudy Buck, Jim(Sharon) Buck, her sister, Kari Kraft(Brian), her nephew, Spencer, her in-laws, Jack and Sharon Peterson, her sister-in-law, Jill Callison(Kirk)and their children Chris and Connor.

A celebration of life will be held on April 20th at Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church at 1:00 pm followed by a reception at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge from 2:30-5:30 pm.
