Paid parking to start May 8 at Snoqualmie Falls gift shop lot

UPDATE: PSE reported this morning that due to an equipment delay from the parking vendor, parking will remain free at the Snoqualmie Falls Park for at least another week.

Effective Monday, May 8, some of the parking at the Snoqualmie Falls Park will be paid-parking.

The change, affecting only the 50 parking spots in the Snoqualmie Falls Park gift shop lot, is being made in an effort to reduce traffic congestion in Snoqualmie. There will be ADA parking in this lot, as well as nine additional paid spots for motorcycles. The rate for parking is now being determined.

Parking spots in both the upper and lower lots will remain free. These lots can accommodate more than 300 vehicles. Puget Sound Energy, which operates the park in conjunction with its hydroelectric project, has also arranged for overflow parking, for 150 vehicles, further down S.R. 202, at Snoqualmie Parkway at Railroad Avenue.
