Gary Fancher, North Bend resident, announces his candidacy for Snoqualmie Valley School Board Director, District 4 last week.
Fancher said he will work with his fellow directors to bring a meaningful and challenging education to every child in the school district, regardless of economics, background, language, or ability.
“I will listen and reflect the voice of our community, work collaboratively with fellow directors, and provide support for our classroom teachers so that each child receives an opportunity for a world class education that prepares each one for post-secondary choices, tomorrow’s workforce, and a productive contributing life,” Fancher said. “My commitment is to put kids first. Period.”
Fancher has lived in North Bend for 14 years with his wife Jennifer and, two sons. He serves as the chairperson of the North Bend Planning Commission and a community representative on the Mountains to Sound Greenway’s Middle Fork Gateway Group. He organized and sponsored the King County Executive Forum at Twins Falls Middle School, served as the founding secretary of the Upper Snoqualmie Valley Elk Management Group, and has experience serving as the legislative chair for the Opstad Elementary PTSA.
His work experience includes IT program management, management positions in mortgage and retail banking policy, corporate training, and taking his turn at being a stay-at-home parent.
