Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following calls:
Snoqualmie-North Bend Police Department
Friday, May 26
Suspicious: At 11:04 p.m., police responded to a call from SE Moses Street, Snoqualmie reporting people walking through a house currently under construction. When police arrived, they identified eight juveniles dumping portable toilets on the site. Police left a message for the driver’s parents and told all of the subjects to go home. The youth could face charges of malicious mischief, if the construction company reports any damages from the incident.
Saturday, May 27
DUI: At 3:25 p.m., police received a report of a stumbling woman in the road in the 400 block of E North Bend Way, North Bend. The caller suspected the woman had wandered into the road when she she couldn’t find her car. Police responded, but the woman had apparently been picked up by her husband before they arrived.
Lost property: At 11:18 p.m., police were called to W 2nd Street, North Bend, after a lost trombone was reported. The trombone fell out of a hatchback vehicle between Piccola Cellars and I-90 exit 25.
Sunday, May 28
Theft in-progress: At 2:02 p.m., stolen liquor was reported from the 400 block of SW Mount Si Boulevard, North Bend. Police detained and cited two subjects before releasing them.
Theft: At 2:43 p.m., a shoplifter on the 400 block of South Fork Avenue SW, North Bend, was reported to police. The caller said the thief’s license plate was in the rear window, not on the car. The thief stole a $180 pasta press.
Reckless driving: At 9:08 p.m., police were called to the 30000 block of SE Ridge Street, for a report of several vehicles racing up and down the street. When police arrived they spoke with the group of teenage drivers about safety while driving around children.
Disturbance: At 10:05 p.m., an employee of a business on SE North Bend Way reported a man arguing with customers. The caller said it was fine that the man was there, but wanted police to come by. An officer responded and contacted the man, then bought him a hot dog and coffee.
Tuesday, May 30
Domestic dispute: At 2:11 a.m., police were called to Cedar Avenue S, North Bend, by a woman who said her husband assaulted her and threw dishes at her. Police booked the man into King County Jail.
Thursday, June 1
Unwanted subject: At 1:34 p.m., a man soliciting signatures in front of a business on the 400 block of E North Bend Way, North Bend, was reported to police. Staff at the business had asked the man to leave, but he refused, saying the police would have to ask him to leave. Officers contacted the man and removed him from the area.
Fall City Fire Department
Friday, May 26
Semi collision: At 4:30 a.m., Fall City EMTs responded with Eastside Fire and Rescue for a two tractor-trailor collision. The Fall City aid car transported one patient to an area hospital.
Unresponsive: At 8:04 a.m., Fall City EMTs and Bellevue paramedics were called to assist a woman in her 70s who had become unresponsive. Paramedics transported to an area hospital.
Saturday, May 27
Broken ankle: At 2:10 p.m., Fall City EMTs responded with Eastside Fire and Rescue to assist a man who’d been hiking and had a possible broken ankle. The Fall City unit was cancelled before it arrived at the scene.
Sunday, May 28
Heart problems: At 11:08 a.m., Fall City EMTs responded with Bellevue Paramedics to assist a patient who reported a rapid heart rate. The patient was transported to an area hospital by the medics.
Accident: At 2:26 p.m., Fall City EMTs responded with Snoqualmie Fire Department for a one-car accident, reported with three patients. All the patients were released to family on scene with minor injuries.
Stranded: At 3:30 p.m., Fall City EMTs responded in the rescue boat with Snoqualmie Fire and Eastside Fire and Rescue to assist six people reported to be stranded on the wrong side of the river. All of the subjects were rescued via the Fall City boat and released on scene with no injuries.
Illegal burn: At 9:33 p.m., Fall City firefighters responded with Eastside Fire and Rescue to a brush fire. They arrived to find an illegal burn, approximately 30 feet by 30 feet. Firefighters extinguished the fire and issued a notice of violation to the resident.
Monday, May 29
Fall: At 4:24 p.m., Fall City EMTs were called to assist an elderly patient who had fallen. The patient was transported to an area hospital via the aid car with minor injuries.
Water rescue: At 5:15 p.m., Fall City EMTs responded with the rescue boat for a swift water rescue. On arrival, all the patients were found to be out of the water and unharmed.
Water rescue: At 7:31 p.m., Fall City EMTs responded with King County Sheriff’s Office and Eastside Fire and Rescue for a swift water rescue. On arrival, all the patients were found to be out of the water.
Snoqualmie Fire Department
Sunday, May 28
Kayak rescue: At 5:15 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to SE Fish Hatchery Road for a swift water rescue, involving two kayaks that had capsized, stranding the occupants in the middle of the river. Upon arrival, the crew saw two people, one on the shore, and one in a kayak in the middle of an eddy, apparently attempting to extricate himself. Both people reported that they were not injured. The crew stood by to confirm that there were no injuries, and that the kayaks got safely under way again.
Medical aid: In addition to the above calls, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 20 medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 468.
