Tuesday, June 6
Gas leak: At 12:10 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to a natural gas line leak on SE Northern Street at Harding Place SE. Construction crews working on SE Northern Street hit a 2-inch natural gas line while digging to install a new water line. The crew arrived and noticed a strong gas odor, and located the engine a block away. They also notified PSE. Construction workers had evacuated the area nearest the leak. Residents in the neighborhood were instructed to shelter-in-place and close their windows. The home directly next to the leak was also evacuated as a precaution. PSE arrived and clamped the broken line and checked the closest home for gas, but found none. All homes were notified the area was safe and the home close were informed the area was now safe.
Medical aid: In addition to the above calls, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 11 medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 483.
Fall City Fire Department
Thursday, June 1
Seizure: At 3:38 p.m., Fall City firefighters and EMTs were called to a private residence for a 90-year-old patient who was in seizure. The patient was found to have a decreased level of consciousness, and medics from the Bellevue Fire Department arrived for further evaluation. The patient was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Injury: At 8:40 p.m., Fall City firefighters and EMTs were called at the request of officers from the Snoqualmie Police Department to evaluate a 30-year-old man who was in custody. The patient had suffered an injury to his shoulder. The patient was evaluated on scene and left in the custody of officers.
Saturday, June 3
Illness: At 8:10 a.m., Fall City firefighters and EMTs saw a 29-year-old man who was experiencing severe nausea and vomiting. The patient was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Sunday, June 4
Check up: At 11:03 a.m., Fall City firefighters and EMTs were called to a church where a 90-year-old woman was experiencing shortness of breath. The patient was evaluated on scene and encouraged to go to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment, but she elected to stay at church.
Monday, June 5
Stroke: At 4:50 a.m., Fall City firefighters and EMTs were called to a private residence for a 69-year-old patient who was experiencing symptoms of a stroke. The patient was quickly evaluated on scene and rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Broken arm: At 4:41 p.m., Fall City firefighters and EMTs responded to the Duthie Hill Bike Park for a 63-year-old man who had gone over his handlebars and broken his arm. The patient’s arm was splinted and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Unconscious: At 10:20 p.m., Fall City firefighters and EMTs saw a 58-year-old woman who was experiencing a decreased level of consciousness. Medics from the Bellevue Fire Department also saw the patient. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Tuesday, June 6
Stuck: At 4:14 p.m., Fall City firefighters and EMTs were called to a private residence for a woman whose leg was injured when it became stuck between a rolling RV and a house. The RV had been moved prior to arrival of the aid crew. The patient was treated for a leg injury and was taken to a local hospital.
