People lined the streets of S.R. 202 Saturday June 10, for events, live music, food and fun during the 46th annual celebration of Fall City Day.
The festival featured live music by Miles from Chicago, booths from local and regional vendors, and a variety of games and events for festival goers to try. The morning began with the annual parade, featuring classic cars from the Mount Si Lions Club Car Show, floats from local farms, including the return of Baxter Barn’s “Bubbles” float, parade entries from community organizations such as Cascade Vaulters and Snoqualmie Valley Relay for Life, and Grand Marshals John and Marion Querro.
After the parade events, the fun and games continued with the watermelon eating contest for kids from 5 to 14 -years-old, pony rides, and a dunk tank.
At 2:30 p.m. the annual duck derby event was held. Approximately 1,000 rubber ducks were dumped into the Snoqualmie River to race to the finish. Kevin Hauglie stood at the finish line to collect the winning ducks and make note of the prize winners.
