Snoqualmie woman died Saturday after fall on downtown sidewalk

A 57-year-old Snoqualmie woman found lying on the ground Saturday morning at the corner of SE River Street and Falls Avenue SE, Snoqualmie, was pronounced dead by police shortly after they reached her.

The woman was reported on the ground at 9:21 a.m., at the downtown intersection. Snoqualmie police and fire departments arrived within three minutes of the call and found her unresponsive. Firefighters performed CPR but could not revive her. At 10:30 a.m., she was pronounced dead.

Police Chief Perry Phipps said in a phone call Monday morning that the the woman had sustained head trauma from falling on the pavement, but the cause of the fall is not known.

The King County Medical Examiner has taken over the investigation from Snoqualmie Police.
