North Fork Road closed because of Quarry wildfire in Snoqualmie National Forest

A section of North Fork Road SE is closed due to a 130-acre Quarry wildfire burning on Campbell Global and Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest lands. The road closure begins at the Sunday Lake Trailhead, from the last house where the pavement ends, just north of Ernies Grove. The road will be closed until further notice.

The Quarry fire is a human-caused fire that started Aug. 11. The fire is located in the Snoqualmie National Forest on both Forest Service and private ground. Due to the rugged terrain, this fire cannot be contained but it can be controlled.

The Quarry Mountain wildfire is approximately 30 miles northwest of North Bend. King County Department of Transportation is notifying people in surrounding areas in the event that it may impact local citizens.

The U.S. Forest Service is asking that people avoid the closed area for fire fighter and public safety. For more information and updates about the fire, go to https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5545/.
