Two new officers, Evan Jones and James Kaae, have joined the ranks of the Snoqualmie Police Department and were sworn-in with their oaths of office at the Aug. 28, Snoqualmie City Council Meeting.
Police Chief Perry Phipps introduced Jones and Kay at the meeting before their families pinned the police badges on their uniforms.
“These are just quality people,” Phipps said. “When the selection process is being conducted, you look at the qualities that are more than just what you see visually, you look for the values that they have and where they come from and both of these gentlemen have the values that we are looking for in our officers. Somebody that has the quality of building relationships and can also do this tough and demanding job.”
