Weather delays re-opening of North Bend Way; road now scheduled to open Friday, Sept. 29

Due to unexpected rain and weather conditions last week, construction on North Bend Way from Bendigo Boulevard through Ballarat Avenue will continue for three days longer than originally scheduled. The new completion date is expected to be Friday, Sept. 29.

The additional three-day closure will allow the contractor to finish pouring concrete in dry weather, allowing for proper curing to strengthen and enhance the concrete in this high-traffic area.

Downtown businesses will remain open during construction. Residents and visitors areencouraged to continue supporting downtown businesses.

Signs directing drivers to alternative parking locations are posted in the downtown area. An alternative parking map, construction schedule, design layout, and project FAQ document is available on the North Bend Public Works Department Current Projects Web page, http://northbendwa.gov/index.aspx?NID=161.
