That jolly old elf is making his list and checking it twice before his arrival at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie for Santa Train season. Seven of the holiday trains have already sold out, but tickets are still available.

Don’t miss this unique holiday tradition, going on in Snoqualmie for 48 years. For eight days, beginning Nov. 25, families can take a holiday train excursion aboard Santa Train to visit Santa Claus at the historic Snoqualmie Depot. Children and families will enjoy music, fresh-baked cookies from coal-fired ovens, hot cocoa and coffee, and a small gift for each child.

The two-hour excursion runs on weekends, Nov. 25 to 26, Dec. 2 to 3, 9 to 10, and 15 to 17. The Friday, Dec. 15, train is the return of the Victorian Santa Train.

Buy tickets online at www.trainmuseum.org or in person at the Snoqualmie Depot, 38625 SE King Street, Snoqualmie. Tickets are $26 per person for everyone ages 2 and older. There are seven hourly departures to choose from between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Founded in 1957, the Northwest Railway Museum is the largest railway museum in Washington and welcomes over 88,000 visitors each year. The museum’s collection of railway artifacts and equipment is one of the most significant in the United States and includes over 70 examples of locomotives, passenger and freight cars, and specialized railway equipment. The Northwest Railway Museum is located in the Snoqualmie Depot, recognized as the oldest continuously operated train station in Washington State.
