The Mount Si High School Cross Country teams ended their season in the 4A state meet after a strong showing at the KingCo League Championships.

Both Mount Si teams got into the top 10 in team score in the KingCo Championships on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah, with the boys team finishing at fourth place and the girls team at sixth.

Both Joe Waskom and Chloe Cosgrove were able to crack the top 10 runners in their respective races as well, with Waskom running a 15:58.52 and Cosgrove running a 19:23.88.

Three Mount Si runners attended the state meet at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco on Saturday, Nov. 4. Waskom finished at 10th with a time of 15:31.80. At 60th place, freshman Paul Talens finished in 16:25.

In the girls race, Cosgrove finished at 86th in 19:45.50.

The Mount Si girls ended their season fourth overall in the 4A KingCo League with five wins and three losses. The boys finished the season at sixth with three wins and five losses.
