The Mount Si Wrestlers had a good showing at the Spud Walley Invitational, their second tournament of the season. The team traveled to Sedro Woolley to compete on Saturday, Dec. 9.
Freshman Tryon Kaess, werestling at 106 pounds, and senior Duncan Harrison, 145 pounds, won their respective weight classes. Freshman Braedon Haynie, 113 pounds, took third, Sophomore Jaedon Durham, 138 pounds, took sixth. Junior Spencer Marenco, 152 pounds, also finished third. Senior Conor Holt, 160 pounds, took fourth. Seniors Corey Seaman and Dorian Barre, both 195 pounds, took fifth and sixth places, respectively.
Senior Kinsey Steskal, 125 pounds, placed third in two girls wrestling tournaments over the past two weekends. She placed third at the Emerald Ridge Girls tournament on Dec. 2, and third at the Orting Girls tournament on Dec. 9.
