After 40 years, Snoqualmie United Methodist Church installed a brand new sign this November as part of Will Huestis’ Eagle Award project.
The plans for the sign were unveiled on Oct. 1 during the community walk held to announce the dedication of several sites around Snoqualmie to Charles Peterson. The new sign was the first announcement of that walk.
On Nov. 18, the sign was put assembled and installed in the front lawn of the church facing Railroad Avenue in downtown Snoqualmie. The project was spearheaded by Will Huestis of Boy Scout Troop 466.
The new sign features an updated design and plaque on the back explaining Peterson’s involvement with the church. The sign was paid for by the United Methodist Church’s Charles Peterson Memorial Fund.
