Snoqualmie Valley Community Network has announced a poster contest for its “Be the Change” youth workshop in March. Middle and high school students are invited to use their artistic talents to create a poster design for the 11th annual event, and possibly win a $75 cash prize.

Submissions for the contest must be 8 inches wide by 7.5 inches high and created solely by the entrant. The title of the event, “Be the Change” must be prominently displayed and preference will be given to work that captures the theme of the event.

Artists must submit their work by Monday, Feb. 5; send a digital copy (or scan) of the artwork to postercontest@hotmail.com.

Be the Change, set for Saturday, March 17 at Chief Kanim Middle School is for middle school aged students living in the Snoqualmie Valley and beyond. The day is typically filled with opportunities for teens to identify their strengths, share the opportunities and challenges of teenage life, team-building games, free breakfast and lunch, and several youth-picked and youth-facilitated breakout sessions.
