Learn how to respond to choking, sudden cardiac arrest, and first aid needs in a combined First Aid/CPR class, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Snoqualmie Fire Station, 37600 SE Snoqualmie Parkway. This class will be taught to the American Heart Association standards.

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive. Students learn how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other incidents. In addition, this class teaches adult and child CPR, along with AED (automated external defibrilliator) use.

The class fee is $35 which includes a workbook, keychain/face shield, and a CPR card good for two years.

Upcoming First Aid/CPR classes will be held on April 21, June 9, and Oct. 13.The Fire Department also offers CPR classes, coming up March 6, April 14, May 8, Sept. 11, and Nov. 6.
