Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation names 2018 Educators of the Year

The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation announced the four winners of the Educator of the Year awards on Thursday, March 1, surprising each winner with the announcement, along with flowers and balloons.

The awards are split into four categories: elementary, middle school, high school, and classified educators

Nate Ziemkowski, second grade teacher at Snoqualmie Elementary School; Jared Burrow, eighth grade social studies teacher at Twin Falls Middle School; Jennifer Holloway, history teacher at Mount Si High School; and Betty Hamilton, head custodian at Fall City Elementary and Twin Falls Middle School, were the 2018 honorees.

Each of the winners was nominated by colleagues, students and parents in the district.

The Educators of the Year will be formally recognized at the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation Spring Fundraising Luncheon at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, March 22, at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. The luncheon is open to the public. More information can be found on www.svsfoundation.com.
