Sherry Pickett, of Snoqualmie Pass, was born in Shreveport, LA on March 12, 1954 to Dorothy and Joe Wynn. She passed away on April 17, 2018 in Bellevue, WA. Sherry grew up in Springhill, LA and attended McAlester HS in Oklahoma. Sherry and her husband Tom recently attended her 45th reunion and visited with many old friends. They had a wonderful time!

Sherry graduated from Southern Arkansas University and went to work in the travel industry at Braniff & American Airlines and Uniglobe Travel. For six years, she enjoyed her second career at the Cedar River Watershed. In 2000, she finally became a real estate agent and began selling homes all over east King and Kittitas counties. She was the leader in home sales at Snoqualmie Pass. The Pass has a mixture of long term residents and second-home owners and she took care of them all – she has sold some Pass homes up to four times each in her illustrious career! She was a highly awarded agent with John L. Scott, North Bend for many years and finished her career at Champions Real Estate Services, continuing as a leader in sales. Tributes from her clients have mentioned her trustworthiness, knowledge, caring, understanding and the impact on their lives by helping them to find the perfect home for their situation.

Sherry married Tom Pickett of Walkers Creek, Arkansas in 1977. Their son, Joe, was born on Dec. 31, 1980 in Tulsa, OK. The Picketts moved to North Bend in 1991 and to Snoqualmie Pass in 1994. Sherry was a founding Board Member of St. Bernard’s when the community reorganized the Chapel in 1998, making it a year-round ecumenical service. Sherry was a loyal friend to so many. She saw the best in everyone and laughed easily. She kept a positive attitude during her fight with cancer as she did in all difficult situations. Finally, Sherry was the epitome of Southern hospitality and a fabulous cook!

Sherry is survived by her loving husband, Tom, of Snoqualmie Pass and her brothers-in-laws, Allen Horn and Jerry Pickett, their families and numerous cousins and friends all over the South. She was predeceased by her son Joe, her sister Brenda, and her parents. A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, April 28 at 12 noon at the Snoqualmie Pass Fire Station, 1211 WA Highway 906, followed by a reception.
